Problem

Patient’s smart device indicates the Bluetooth setting is turned off.

5016.1 Is Bluetooth on?
5016.2 Is the phone on airplane mode?
5016.3 Is the Wi-Fi or mobile network available?
5016.4 Has the mylife App worked in the past?
5016.5 Did the patient enable the permissions in the phone settings?
5016.6 Is the patient using an iPhone or an Android?
5016.7 Android only: are the permissions enabled: Allow all the time, allow only while using the app or ask every time?

Actions

  1. Record answer. If no, turn Bluetooth on.
  2. If the phone is in Airplane mode then data cannot be sent. Open settings and confirm airplane mode is disabled.
  3. The phone needs Wi-Fi or mobile connection to send data. Open settings and confirm either Wi-Fi connection or mobile data is on.
  4. If the mylife App has worked in the past, then we can reboot everything. Re-install mylife App. Reboot device. Check Bluetooth devices on Smart Device to confirm pairing.
  5. If no, enable the permissions in the phone settings.
  6. Document the answer.
  7. If patient uses Android phone, advise to allow All the time when possible.
