Problem

The sensor session expires before the expected duration, or the user receives a sensor expiration warning before the expected duration.  This is not a sensor failure or warning of a restart with a new sensor.

123.1 Was the date and time entered correctly?

123.2 Did the patient stop the previous sensor session before starting the session that expired?

123.3 G7/D1+ Only: Did issue occur during the 12-hour grace period?

Actions

  1. ISelect Yes, No, Unable / Unwilling to Answer. Please verify the sensor insertion date on the display device itself. 
  2. Select Yes (if the patient manually stopped previous sensor session before the full session duration), No, Unable / Unwilling to Answer. Ensure the patient is in range when stopping sessions manually.
  3. G7 / D1+ Only: If yes, please advise that it is recommended to change the sensor when the session expires at 10 days. The grace period can be utilized when the end time is not convenient for the user. No replacement product will be provided for issues during the grace period. Please document the complaint.

If patient's issue is confirmed to be a true early end of sensor session OR not enough information can be obtained to verify, please change product line to the transmitter.
